I embarked on a journey to explore captivating western brand concepts for Ponderosa High School shirt designs. During my quest for inspiration from various brands, I stumbled upon the remarkable Alpha Angle Brand system employed by the Bureau of Land Management, a creation of the brilliant Dr. Keith Farrell from Washington State University.
To establish a stronger connection between the brand and Parker, Colorado, I decided to incorporate the zip code into the design. Although the zip code falls one character short of an actual registration number, I believe the overall design remains compelling and impactful.
Throughout the creative process, I contemplated several ideas for the design’s application and utility. One idea was to incorporate “1983,” representing the year of the school’s establishment, as a timeless design element. Alternatively, I considered crafting a design that evolves annually to commemorate the graduating class. As depicted above, I deliberated whether to position the brand on the front or solely on the back of the shirt.
By carefully considering these options and engaging in a thoughtful design process, I aim to create an exceptional and visually striking shirt design that resonates with the essence of Ponderosa High School and its connection to the local community.
