Montreal Maroons

From 1924 till 1938 there was a NHL franchise known as the Montreal Maroons. The mascot/nickname came from the press covering the team at the time and the name stuck. I’ve created logos, and jersey designs trying to honor the great hockey traditions of Canada, Montreal, and the NHL.

For the logo, I leaned on the shield design from another Montreal team, The Wanders. I removed a small shield from the larger shield to begin the basic M shape.

For the shoulder patch, I chose to honor the Montreal Forum, the home of the Maroons who played there before the Montreal Canadiens.
