Late in 2020, Adidas released a line of NHL jerseys called Reverse Retro. These were a mash-up of old and new styles for each NHL team. I read online that Adidas is going to launch a new version. That would reference the original NHL team in Colorado, the Colorado Rockies. Here is my initial design for both road and home jerseys.
I based the large color “blocks” on the original 1995-1996 jerseys for the Colorado Avalanche, with the Dark Blue (PMS 282) from the current third jersey for the mountain, stripes, and numbers. The burgundy (PMS 202) is the same as the original color scheme, used in the large areas on the shoulders, sleeves, and bottom of the jersey. Gold (PMS 1235) from the Colorado flag is used throughout the jersey as an accent color in the stripes.
To further tie the two NHL franchises together, I also brought back the yeti footprint logo for the shoulder patch. This patch was a fan favorite for many years and is the one spot of Silver (PMS 429) on the jersey.
